Patagonia is home to reservations of the Mapuche, the last indigenous people left in Argentina, as well as newer arrivals like the settlements of Welsh immigrants who also inhabit the region. Glaciers National Park not only lives up to its name, it encompasses a petrified forest that contains 150 million year old trees.
