The views of San Carlos valleys and the Tropical Forest that surround the waterfall are spectacular. At the end of the road, we will leave our horses and walk all the way to the base of the waterfall, which is about 65 m high. This fantastic area is very quiet and peaceful. On the way back we will reach a private farm of 400 hectares, a perfect place to spot Toucan, oriels and a large variety of flora and fauna. Here, we can admire one of the largest trees in the area. Enjoy lunch in the early afternoon at the Arenal Paraiso Hotel. Note: don't forget to bring insect repellent, raincoat, binoculars, camera, swimsuit and a towel. In the afternoon we will visit the Sky Trek where everyone will have the opportunity to go up to the top on an Aerial Tram System. From the Aerial system, you can either go on the zip line or go for a walk through the beautiful rainforest at the Sky Adventure Private Reserve. In the early evening, enjoy a great buffet dinner. DAY 05: ARENA VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK Located just south of La Fortuna, the gateway to Arenal Lake and Volcano, are the Caves of Venado. Dating back over 7 million years, the Venado Caves are the direct result of water currents penetrating and passing through the surrounding limestone rocks. Over time, the ongoing flow of water opened crevasses and forced sediments to flow throughout the caves, leaving in its wake an endless network of deep tunnels. So complex and deep, absolutely no light penetrates these caves, except for a few isolated incidents located in one of the quarters. As a result, it is mandatory that you carry a flashlight with you during your trip (we recommend that you request an extra battery or two before entering the caves as this is not a good place to find yourself with low batteries). The structure of the tunnels varies tremendously with some displaying ceilings of nearly 20 feet in height, while others requiring that you slide through like a serpent. In the afternoon we will visit the Arenal Volcano Nature Walk at El Silencio. You will enjoy the most extraordinary view of the Arenal Volcano on a gentle hike along the base of this marvelous "Mountain of Fire". The hike begins on the active side of the volcano that takes you through the forest over recent lava flows and to the destroyed area now in the process of regeneration. DAY 06: ARENA VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK / MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK DAY 07: MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK We will enjoy an informative hike through the Manuel Antonio National Park known for its two white sand beaches: Espadilla Sur and Manuel Antonio. The beaches protect costal the rainforest, a mangrove swamp, coral formations and 12 islands that serve as seabird sanctuaries. We will learn about the park's distinctive flora, and see some of the resident fauna which includes 109 mammal species such as capuchin and quirrel monkeys, agouti and three toed sloth and 184 species of birds. In the evening, we will join our guide for dinner at Marlin's Beachfront Restaurant, with its nice tropical setting surrounded by tiki torches. (Alcoholic beverages not included). DAY 08: MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK Free afternoon or you can opt for the ATV expedition adventurous tour traveling through African palm plantations in Quepos area and going through picturesque villages and farms.
